Saltas Gabriela Aguirre opened the score, in the second minute, from a corner deflection and increased the gap, three minutes later, from a corner rebound.

In the 23rd, Rosario's Marien Bianchini put her team 3-0 ahead also from a penalty corner, and Aguirre again converted in the 29th and 34th minutes to go to break leading 5-0.

Argentina did not change their scheme after half-time to net five goals more through Rosario Luchetti, in the 47th minute; Silvina DEla, in the 50th; Yanina Rojas in the 58th, Giselle Kaevsky in the 64th and Agustina Bouza, a minute before the final whistle.

In spite of Argentina got 25 penalty corners throughout the match, the excellent performance by Brazilian goalie Nadja Fawakhiri, helped by some good defensive job from the back row prevented more goals.
