The match for the third place was a real battle in the pitch. Uruguay was the team who proposed the game, but Brazil made the difference counterattacking. Even though Brazil won the match, the host country earned the bronze medal. Paraguay said goodbye to this tournament by reaching a tight victory before Venezuela. The Paraguayan team entered the pitch with hunger for victory. Even though they did not play that well, it was enough to score twice and to end the match. Venezuela fell before a weak rival, it could not find a playing system which could endanger Paraguay�s result. Argentina earned the gold medal. They were fair winners, because all through the tournament, they showed the best team play. It never risked losing a match, this shows their power in every line of the field. Chile was a team which, also demonstrated a great level, especially in their dexterity and the way they moved the ball. They earned a very deserved second position.   | |||||||||
