Mexico - Paraguay : 2 - 0

The second day began with a perfect weather to play hockey. Mexico and Paraguay were the teams to play on this instance. It was Mexico who got the victory over Paraguay for 2-0.

Both teams went to the field looking for their first win in the Tournament. The game looked balanced, with both teams showing a strong attitude trying to improve their image to continue in the run.

It was a hard match where the teams showed passion for their teams and the conviction of improving.

Mexico was the one to take advantage of the well performed penalty corners, and although Paraguay didn�t show a strong defense it was Mexican attack that made the day difficult to the rival

Although Paraguay starts waving good bye to their chances in this tournament, the players showed great improvement and fought with body and soul.

Canada - Argentina : 1 - 5

Today�s second match presented the two best teams in the Tournament. Argentina beat Canada 5- 0, both teams, having achieved big victories the day before.

The game began at great speed on both sides, but it was Canada that managed to open the score first after a great penalty corner perfectly executed. But, this goal played against Canadian, it woke up a dormant Argentina.

The Argentinean girls reacted just on time and managed to gain the lead in the first half by 3-1. What was their formula? Great definitions from penalty corners. Jimena Cedres appeared as the best player in the field leading almost all attacks from the winners.

The second half remained commanded by Argentina putting great pressure on the Canadians at all lines. With this result Argentina has almost ensure a place to fight for the ticket to the 2010 Olympic Games in Singapore.

Chile - USA : 2 - 0

Chile worked to recover from the defeat against the Uruguayans the day before, and US intended to continue showing their good performance as that against Bermuda.

The first half was a tight fight, but Chile found an early goal from a deflected ball from a penalty corner.

In spite of the adverse score, US came to the pitch (in the second half) pushing their rival back into their field. The Americans blocked perfectly Chilean movements during the first 25 minutes but a counterstroke from Chile gave them the lead 2-0.

US failing definition gave the game to Chile, who once more is in the race for the next round.

Bermuda - Uruguay : 0 - 8

The last game of the day was between the host, Uruguay and Bermuda, an important game for the locals who are fighting to classify. The Uruguayans won 8-0.

Uruguay came to the field concentrated and motivated, and blocked the rivals from the very start. Constant attacks from the sides gave immediate good results.

The prize came from two great field goals from Camila Piazza and Kaisuami Dall�Orso. The Uruguayans took advantage from the penalty corners as well to increase the score. The teams went to the break with the locals leading 6-0.

Uruguay came to the second half with the same concentration and trying to increase the score (difference of goals count for classification). Bermuda once more was unable to sort Uruguay blocking in the field and was overwhelmed by the Uruguayan attack.
